“Jesus said: “Love your neighbour”. The Lotus Sutra, one of the Buddhist Sutras says: “Rescue all beings”. One side says that, love your neighbour or one person and the other says, all. What is the difference?. Actually there is no difference.
The person who is wishing to rescue them all, really cares for the person who is in front of them. And the person who cares who is in front of them of course subconsciously cares about all humankind………….
When Jesus says the good shepherd will look for the one missing sheep, even though 99 sheep are waiting for the shepherd, it means how much God is loving and caring each single person as one child of God. The same meaning is in the Mahayana Buddhism Philosophy, one includes the whole, the whole Universe. One tiny bit of dust includes the whole Universe. It is the reality of the Universe and it means that you will care about one person as the whole Universe. There is no difference between one single person and the whole Universe. …………..
I am talking about this because of the importance of how important it is to care about the person in front of you. One reason is because the person in front of you is a projection of your subconscious, it is another aspect of yourself, it is yourself living deep inside. So if you care about another person it means the same as you are caring about yourself subconsciously. Also there is no separation, the subconscious does not recognize the difference between self and others. The one who cares about others is the one who cares about oneself…………. “
