
“…………..the meaning of “Shojin” is moment to moment, ongoing, to overcome this world. Moment to moment caring, extending, transferring the Great Love of the Great Spirit of the Universe to the world and to the people in front of you. Always be on standby, be ready to show your care to others, this is the meaning of “Shojin”.
“Shojin” does not have the meaning of sometimes practise, it means always, like a heart beating always, like blood always circulating, as each cell is extending energy, always, and naturally. Like this the Great Love has to spring out from within you, out to the world and out to the people in front of you.….
Actually in Buddhism in general “Shojin” is not related to love, but I dare to say, just as Saint Paul said, that there is no meaning to the practice without love. And the opposite of love is duty. You can not do Shojin if it is duty, it has to come from love and has to raise your feeling of love towards others……”
